Dr. Carleen Thum began her professional life as a teacher of health and physical education in the New Jersey public schools. After she experienced a dramatic difference in her health as the result of chiropractic care, she pursued a Doctorate in Chiropractic, graduating in 1984.
Dr. Thum has been a practicing chiropractor for the last 32 years. She established and directed a successful chiropractic family practice in Atlanta, Georgia for 15 years. She then returned to her New Jersey roots and opened a chiropractic office in Lambertville, New Jersey, practicing there until 2017. She now practices at Gentle Chiropractic, Orchard Hill Center in Skillman, New Jersey.
Dr. Thum is a member of the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors. She has received specialty training in instrument adjusting and holds an Advanced Proficiency Rating in Activator Methods, the gold standard of instrument adjusting in chiropractic. She has also done extensive work in the fields of self-actualization, transformation and communication.
Dr. Thum resides with her partner in Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania. She is the proud mother of two adult children and doting grandmother of two little boys. She enjoys Qi Gong, swimming, kayaking, reading, socializing and political participation.
